Our second brewery to visit in Savannah, Georgia during our 2021 Summer Road Trip was Two Tides Brewing Company. Upon leaving Hop Atomica, Mena and I walked back to our Airbnb and picked up the car to head on over to Two Tides.
Upon arrival, the outside of the brewery looked really cool as it is what appears to be a house – more on the history of the building later in the “about” section. Let’s get right into the nitty gritty as this was a quick visit but an enjoyable one nonetheless.
Two Tides Brewing Company Beer
During our visit to Two Tides we decided to order a sample beer flight to give the brewery a test and we also purchased a bottle to take back home with us once our road trip was over. I must say that there is something for everyone on the menu has they had a wide variety of beer – let’s go ahead and take a look at the beers we tried:
Two Tides Brewing Co. Sample Beer Flight
- Sixfoot – New England Hazy IPA (6.5% ABV)
- III – New England Hazy IPA (6.0% ABV)
- Chromatose – Blackberry & Lactose Kettle Sour (5.2% ABV)
- Hey Cowboy, You Gonna Finish That Corndawg? – Imperial Stout Conditioned on Peanuts, Ghana Cocoa Nibs, Cheesecake & Tahitian Vanilla (10% ABV)
Both Mena and I really enjoyed the Chromatose and favored that one out of the 4 we tried. As crazy as the Cowboy Corndawg sounds, it was a bit underwhelming but still good – if you come up with a name that wild, the beer better back it up!
In addition to the taps available, Two Tides Brewing Co. also has a fridge that is stocked with cans and bottles available for purchase to-go.
Too Tired To Dream
We tried this sour a few months after we bought it from Two Tides and it was delicious. Too Tired To Dream is a Berliner Weisse with cherry, blueberry and blackberry (4% ABV) – this beer was loved by everyone at the party we tried it at and I definitely wish we had bought more!
About Two Tides Brewing Company
Owners, James and Liz Massey, opened Two Tides Brewing Co. in March of 2018. The brewery is located in a home, built in 1910, that was originally the residence for the manager of Starland Dairy. The second story was propped up on stilts in the 1960s and is currently where the taproom of Two Tides Brewing Co. is located. The brewery had quite a bit of history which adds to its charm and the amazing selection of beer doesn’t hurt either!
