Quick Answer: Sports cards and trading card games (TCG) sell best on Whatnot. They are the platform’s two biggest categories, followed by women’s fashion, toys & hobbies, and beauty. Together, those five categories made up 74% of Whatnot’s U.S. sales in 2025. The fastest-growing categories were beauty (+791%), electronics (+444%), jewelry (+259%), and women’s fashion (+223%).
Those numbers come from Whatnot’s own 2026 State of Live Selling report. To see what is actually selling inside each category right now, we went a step further.
In October 2026, we screen-recorded the Top Sellers: This Week leaderboard in 29 Whatnot categories, checked the live profiles of more than 470 sellers, and noted which subcategories were drawing the most viewers on a Sunday night. We have also bought from sellers in 16 categories ourselves, so we know what those items actually cost.

The 5 Best-Selling Categories on Whatnot
According to Whatnot’s 2026 State of Live Selling report (via Sports Collectors Daily), these were the top U.S. categories in 2025, in order:
- Sports Cards: U.S. buyers purchase more than 6.4 million sports cards a month on Whatnot.
- Trading Card Games: Pokémon leads the category.
- Women’s Fashion: more than 12 million orders a month, or about 6,000 items sold every hour.
- Toys & Hobbies: blind boxes, pins, figures and liquidation toy lots.
- Beauty: U.S. buyers watched 570,000 hours of beauty shows every week.
Whatnot says it passed $8 billion in sales in 2025, more than double the year before. Here is what is selling inside each of those five categories this month.
1. Sports Cards
This week’s #1 Sports Cards seller was cardboard47, which runs repacks and random-team card breaks. The most followed sports card seller, joehollywood, focuses on sealed packs and boxes, rookie and insert hunts, and autographed memorabilia. Whatnot named Bowman Chrome hobby boxes among the most actively sold items across every category.
