Our visit to Magnanimous Brewing was brief as we were nearing the end of the day and had a long drive back home. Once we figured out not to use the insanely overpriced pay-to-park zones and found free street parking, it was time to get some beer at our last drinking stop of the day.
When we entered Magnanimous we felt like we were just transported into a different world – it definitely has its own unique vibe going on inside. It was pretty packed but the bartenders were super quick and we had our beers in no time.
There are a ton of seating options as well as barrels scattered throughout the tap room if you want to just stand and set your beer down. The couches looked super comfy but it was a bit dark inside and we were afraid we’d fall asleep if we sat down on them.
If you are not digging the vibe inside or just want to sit out in the Florida heat then there is a nice beer garden out front with a ton of tables.
Magnanimous Brewing Beer
At this point we had already been to two other breweries and were soured out but we wanted to give Magnanimous a fair shot and boy are we glad we did. I really wish we had more time in the day to try out some of their other beers – there was a Mezcal aged sour that was around 15% ABV that looked insane but we decided against a 15% beer right before our trek back down south. Let’s take a look at the two beers we tried while at our last stop of Tampa Bay Beer Week 2023.
Juice Lord
- Type: Hazy IPA
- ABV: 7.5%
I made sure Magnanimous had a few IPA selections for us when we went to visit because I knew we’d be trying out a ton of sours all day. Juice Lord was perfect and Mena and I thoroughly enjoyed this hazy IPA.

Whiplash
- Type: Imperial Tropical Sour Ale with Pineapple, Lime, Banana, Vanilla Beans
- ABV: 8.5%
After a long day of sours we decided to get…another sour and Magnanimous can hang with the best of the best when it comes to their beers. This tropical sour was incredible and a great way to end our road trip to the West Coast of Florida.

Beer To-Go Cooler
If you don’t have time to grab a draft beer at Magnanimous, they have a great collection of to-go beers in the cooler. Take a 4-pack home with you and enjoy some amazing brews from yet another great addition to the Tampa Bay craft beer scene.
Mena and I will definitely be going back to Magnanimous Brewing when we can enjoy more of their beers and actually sit and relax – we were definitely in a hurry as we had a 3 ½ drive back home.
