Yesterday we met Mena’s family up in Melbourne, Florida to attempt to watch the space shuttle launch. We found out a few hours before the launch that it was scrubbed due to technical errors so we had an entire day to explore Melbourne. Mena had the idea to find a local brewery and upon looking locally on Google I found Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Co. and I am so glad we chose this brewery to go hang out at.
I did call Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Co. prior to our arrival just to make sure that it was a kid-friendly brewery – I was told that kids are 100% allowed to be in the brewery and there was even a game room for them.
Once we arrived at the brewery it wasn’t too busy yet but it was only around 11:30 a.m. so that is to be expected. The whole gang of us (8) sat at a table and were immediately greeted by a waitress – unlike most breweries where you have to order everything at the bar, Hell ‘n Blazes steps it up a notch and offers service to your table.
Mena is in her 9th month of pregnancy so no beer for her but she did get the lemonade and really enjoyed it. Our group ordered a ton of food and tried a few of the beers that were new – Hell ‘n Blazes offers a great variety of beer and food.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at our review of the beer and food that we tried while at Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Co. yesterday.
Hell ‘n Blazes Beer
The craft beer menu at Hell ‘n Blazes is quite extensive and there is surely something for everyone – they even have wine and cocktails on tap as well. Mena’s brother and myself ordered a couple beers to try while everyone else had water and/or lemonade.
AIS Chief
AIS Chief (8.3% ABV) is a hazy IPA that is a newer release at Hell ‘n Blazes. I always enjoy a hazy IPA done right and let me tell you, this one was absolutely delicious. As soon as it was set down in front of me I could immediately tell it had promise as it looked like I was given a glass of orange juice. I highly recommend ordering this beer while they have it on tap – you will not be disappointed!

Hurricane Repellant
I switched it up from the hazy IPA to try out a sour from the menu, Hurricane Repellant (5.4% ABV), a pineapple and coconut Berliner Weisse. While this sour will not be for everyone, I definitely enjoyed it as a nice and refreshing sour that was not too overpowered by the coconut flavor.

Hell ‘n Blazes Food
Usually a brewery offers a few appetizers and snacks at the bar but that was not the case with Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Co. – they had a full-fledged menu and all of the food we tried was really good. Please note that we remembered to take pictures after the other dishes were already gone or half-eaten but we did manage to get photos of a couple of items.
Buffalo Wings
I mean how can you go wrong with buffalo wings and cold beer in this dreadful South Florida heat? Mena and I ordered 10 mild buffalo wings and her brother ordered the garlic parmesan wings (not pictured). While the garlic wings were good, the buffalo wings were definitely top-notch!

Build-Your-Own Flatbread Pizza
We are suckers for flatbread pizza and decided to choose the “build-your-own” option that Hell ‘n Blazes offers. Mena and I went with the following for our flatbread: White sauce (roasted garlic cream), mozzarella cheese, red onion, and smoked chicken breast – it was really good and we both enjoyed it!

Hell ‘n Blazes Game Room
The game room at Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Co. cannot be overlooked as it is pretty freaking awesome. Mena’s two nieces were with us so this game room came in clutch as they had a blast while we were at the brewery.
In the game room they have a few arcade games, ring toss, foosball, and two dart boards. Oh, and they have a digital jukebox so you can jam out while you play your games and sip on some good beer. It really was crazy how big the brewery is and it was an awesome stop on our day trip to Melbourne, Florida.
