Corporate Ladder Brewing in Palmetto, Florida has been on our radar for quite some time and we finally decided to visit during their Star Wars Day beer release to give a proper review. Mena and I were visiting her friend, Jackie, in Sarasota, Florida so it was a must for us to go visit Corporate Ladder which was only 20 minutes away.
I had only heard of Corporate Ladder prior to our visit and we had high hopes for the beer we were about to enjoy. Upon our arrival at the brewery, the first thing you see is a massive outdoor beer garden which has a ton of seating.
There are also tables and booths inside to take a break from the insane Florida heat if you aren’t trying to get a sun tan while sipping on some good beer. I know that everyone is here to learn more about the beer so let’s dive right into the review.
Corporate Ladder Brewing Beer
Corporate Ladder is well-known for having good beer for every beer lover to enjoy and just by looking at their tap list you see such an amazing variety. The question is, with the different types of beer that they offer, which ones do they do well?
To answer that question, we decided to try as many as possible and while we did not get a stout (I’ve heard they are delicious) because it was 10,000 degrees outside, we did try a good selection of sours, slushies and IPAs.
Let’s dive into all of the different beer we tried and go over each one with a personal review:
Cash Flow
- Type: Double New England IPA
- ABV: 8.5%
Haze for days! I messed up when I didn’t buy a 4-pack of this to bring back home to St. Augustine because this was definitely our favorite of the day.
Tim
Compliment Sandwich (2024)
- Type: West Coast IPA
- ABV: 7.5%
Our first IPA at Corporate Ladder was delicious – this is a vintage of compliment sandwich and all three of us really enjoyed this West Coast IPA.
Tim
Empty Cubicle
- Type: New England IPA
- ABV: 7.5%
This is the only full pour we bought as it was only available in cans but it was incredible and when we ordered this we needed a break from all of the sour Star Wars Day beers we had tried.
Tim
Market Liquidity
- Type: New England IPA
- ABV: 7.5%
Yet another hazy that Corporate Ladder knocked out of the park – I think we may have found a new contender for our list of top breweries in Florida.

Star Wars Day Beer
Our trip to Corporate Ladder just so happened to fall on May 4, 2024, which is Star Wars Day. To celebrate, the brewery had a few beer releases that were based on the Star Wars franchise. Let’s take a look at the special releases we were lucky enough to try:
Blue Milk
- Type: Gluten-free Dessert Beer with Watermelon, Dragon Fruit, Pineapple, Coconut, Orange & Vanilla Beans
- ABV: 6.5%
Out of all of the sour beers we tried this was by far the most interesting and delicious beer of the day and possibly ever. None of us could really explain what this tasted like but it was damn good.
Tim
Dark Side
- Type: Gluten-free Sour with Strawberry, Pineapple Soft Serve, Lemon, Shortbread & Pound Cake
- ABV: 6.5%
Mena loved the dark side but being that I am not really a “sweets” person it was just too much for me – sweetness overload!
Tim
Green Milk
- Type: Gluten-free Dessert Beer with Honeydew Melon, Apple, Banana, Mango, Orange & Coconut
- ABV: 6.5%
Not as good as the blue milk but it was really tasty as well – I enjoyed this one much more than the other sours because it wasn’t as sweet.
Tim
Jedi Mind Tricks
- Type: Purple Gluten-free Slushie with Rum, Cola & Vanilla Ice Cream
- ABV: 10%
This tasted like a coke float and went down way too smoothly for a 10% alcoholic beer slush – jedi mind tricks were 100% involved in making this tasty concoction.
Tim
Light Side
- Type: Gluten-free Sour with Passion Fruit, Mango Soft Serve & Tangerine
- ABV: 6.5%
Jackie and I preferred the light side over the dark because it was less sweet and tasted really good – this definitely tasted more like juice and you could easily crush this.

If you don’t have time to enjoy a beer in the tap room, Corporate Ladder has a huge selection of cans to grab to-go. They also let you make your own 4-packs so you get to try different beers instead of having to purchase 4 of the same beer. Hear me out on this, I am begging every other brewery to do this as most of the time I do not want a 4-pack of the same beer because I just want to try as many as possible from each brewery – they still sell 4-packs as well but keep single cans available too.
As I mentioned above, Corporate Ladder is now in our list of top breweries in Florida. The variety and quality of beer that they are offering is incredible and I am kind of sad that we don’t live closer – 3 1/2 hours isn’t that bad but if they were closer we would be going there regularly. Luckily Mena’s friend Jackie lives in Sarasota so we will definitely be going back during our next visit with her.
I am glad we decided to celebrate Star Wars Day at Corporate Ladder and I 100% recommend going to visit them if you ever find yourself on the West Coast of Florida near Tampa.
