Beyond the Con: NYC, Explained
Beyond the Con: NYC is Whatnot’s online version of New York Comic Con. It runs October 8-11, 2026, and it streams every show from Whatnot’s booth at the Javits Center to the app. Whatnot’s tagline sums it up: “The con, without the line.” You can tune in to headliners on the Main Stage, grab flash sales, and shop hundreds of live shows from home.

The Whatnot Liveplex. This year Whatnot is debuting the Liveplex at NYCC, a 5,000-square-foot space modeled on a shopping mall. That’s more than twice the size of last year’s booth. It has specialty shops, an arcade, exclusive drops, and live shows from top sellers, artists, and celebrity guests. Sellers without their own convention booth can also go live from the floor.
Mass Appeal returns. Whatnot’s hip-hop collectibles partner has its own storefront inside the Liveplex. Guests through the weekend include Nas, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Anderson .Paak, Cordae, and Erick the Architect.
500+ exclusives. Whatnot says sellers and partners, including Marvel, AthLife, Mass Appeal, and Hustl, will offer more than 500 exclusive drops, in person and on the app. Most of the shows below fall under Modern Comics, Funko, Thrilljoy, LEGO, and Disney, and our guide to every Whatnot category covers what sells in each. Highlights include:
- Amazing Spider-Man #1001 variant celebrating Jalen Brunson, with Brunson as Captain America
- Iron Man: Racing Towards Doom, an NYCC edition of the Marvel × Williams Racing comic featuring F1 drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz
- Whatnot-exclusive Bloo PIX! figure from Thrilljoy, with a yellow-jersey chase in 1 of every 6 boxes
- Macho Man Randy Savage Big Rubber Guy, New York Mets Edition from Collect Major
